Divisions: 10U / 11U / 12U / 13U / 14U
Classifications: AA / AAA / Majors

1. GAME FORMAT

Pool Play (ALL Divisions/Classifications)

(Tuesday–Wednesday)

  • 75-minute drop dead
  • No new inning after time expires
  • Games may end in a tie
  • Seeding after pool play teams will be ranked 1 through 10 overall based on: overall record, head-to-head if applicable, runs allowed, run differential with cap, coin flip


Bracket Play 

  • 90-minute no new inning
  • Inning must be completed if started
  • No ties permitted


Thursday

Play-in games

  • P1: Seed 7 vs Seed 10
  • P2: Seed 8 vs Seed 9


Quarterfinals

  • QF1: Seed 1 vs Winner P2
  • QF2: Seed 4 vs Seed 5
  • QF3: Seed 3 vs Seed 6
  • QF4: Seed 2 vs Winner P1


Friday

Semifinals

  • SF1: Winner QF1 vs Winner QF2
  • SF2: Winner QF3 vs Winner QF4


Championship

  • Winner SF1 vs Winner SF2


This keeps all 10 teams in and guarantees everybody 3 games


2. RUN RULE

The following run rule applies to all divisions:

  • 12 runs after 3 innings
  • 10 runs after 4 innings
  • 8 runs after 5 innings


3. TIEBREAKER (BRACKET PLAY ONLY)

  • Last batted out begins at 2nd base
  • 1 out
  • Standard international tiebreaker rules apply


4. NO PROTEST POLICY

Weeknight Baseball Co. enforces a strict NO PROTEST policy.

  • All umpire decisions are final
  • No formal protests will be accepted under any circumstances
  • This includes:
    • Judgment calls (balls/strikes, safe/out)
    • Rule interpretations
    • In-game eligibility disputes


Clarification:

  • Coaches may request a brief rule clarification (30–60 seconds)
  • Tournament director may assist for clarification only
  • No calls will be overturned once play resumes


Eligibility Requirement:

  • Any roster or eligibility concerns must be addressed prior to the start of the game
  • No in-game or post-game challenges will be accepted


5. ROSTERS

  • Maximum roster: 14 players
  • Minimum roster: 9 players
  • All players must be rostered prior to first game


6. AGE ELIGIBILITY

Age is determined by the May 1 cutoff date

  • 10U: Cannot turn 11 before May 1
  • 11U: Cannot turn 12 before May 1
  • 12U: Cannot turn 13 before May 1
  • 13U: Cannot turn 14 before May 1
  • 14U: Cannot turn 15 before May 1


7. FIELD DIMENSIONS

Field dimensions will follow standard tournament specifications. Teams should be prepared to play on appropriate age-division fields based on event assignments.


8. BATS

10U / 11U / 12U

  • USSSA or USA bats allowed
  • Maximum drop: -10 to -5

13U / 14U

  • BBCOR (-3) or USSSA allowed


9. PITCHING RULES

Additional Pitching Rules

  • No pitcher may pitch 3 consecutive days (must have 1 day break between any of the games)
  • One mound visit per inning (second visit = removal)


10. SUBSTITUTIONS

  • Free substitution in all games
  • Teams may bat:
    • Entire lineup
    • 9 players


11. BASE RUNNING

10U

  • No leadoffs
  • Stealing allowed after ball crosses plate
  • Balks: warning system
  • Courtesy Runner for Pitcher and Catcher only (Last completed out)


12U / 14U

  • Leadoffs allowed
  • Balks enforced


12. DEFENSE

  • 9 defensive players
  • Extra hitter (EH) allowed


13. SPORTSMANSHIP

  • No arguing balls or strikes
  • Umpire decisions are final
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in:
    • Warning
    • Ejection
    • Removal from event


14. GAME MANAGEMENT

  • 15 minutes between games
  • Lineups due at plate meeting
  • Home team:
    • Pool play = coin flip
    • Bracket = higher seed


15. POOL PLAY TIEBREAKERS

  1. Record
  2. Runs allowed
  3. Run differential (max +8 per game)
  4. Coin flip


16. FORFEITS

  • Game time is forfeit time
  • Score recorded as 8–0


17. DIVISION-SPECIFIC RULE ADJUSTMENTS

AA (Development Focus)

  • Balk warnings (all ages)
  • Emphasis on game flow and development
  • Coaches encouraged to maintain sportsmanship and pace


AAA (Competitive)

  • Standard enforcement of rules
  • Balks enforced (12U/14U)
  • Balanced competitive play


MAJORS (Elite Level)

  • Full rule enforcement
  • Strict adherence to pitching and game rules
  • Highest level of competition


18. FINAL AUTHORITY

Weeknight Baseball Co. reserves the right to make all final decisions regarding rules, eligibility, scheduling, and gameplay.
